Before the communist era (most ostracist closed country of Balkanian Europe at that time) and before the Ottoman Empire domination, Albania used to have a long monarchic medieval styled culture, including people from various corners of Ancient Europe (such as Thracians - Eastern Europe - and Illyrian tribes - approx. Ancient Greece). It's this multi-ethnicity of old Albania which is revived here. Their first religion was Orthodox Christian faith, possibly also an older faith inspired from Persia (Zoroastrianism, perhaps). Slavs from Eastern Europe often "migrated" to Albania.
